Beliolico Offshore Wind Farm (Taranto, Italy)

First offshore wind project in Italy and the Mediterranean

The Beliolico Offshore Wind Farm marks a milestone for European renewable energy as Italy’s first offshore installation and the first operational wind farm in the Mediterranean. Commissioned in April 2022, the project showcases Ming Yang’s capability to deliver turnkey offshore solutions in collaboration with international partners.

Located off the coast of Taranto, the 30 MW wind farm features ten MySE 3.0 135 turbines, providing clean, reliable power to the region while demonstrating the potential of offshore wind in southern Europe. Its annual energy production of 55.6 million kWh is enough to power approximately 18,500 homes.
