Hamburg, 11 March 2026 – Ming Yang Europe has joined the Bundesverband Windenergie Offshore (BWO), the largest German industry association representing companies active across the offshore wind sector.
By becoming a member of BWO, Ming Yang Europe strengthens its engagement with the European offshore wind ecosystem and underlines its commitment to contributing to the continued expansion of offshore wind energy in Germany and across Europe.
Offshore wind plays a central role in Europe’s strategy to decarbonize the energy system while ensuring reliable and affordable electricity for industry and consumers. Achieving Europe’s ambitious offshore wind targets will require strong cooperation across the entire value chain – including technology providers, project developers, supply chain partners, and policymakers. Industry associations such as BWO play an important role in facilitating this dialogue and shaping the regulatory framework for the sector.
Ming Yang Europe welcomes the opportunity to contribute its expertise to this community and to engage constructively with industry stakeholders. The company also emphasizes the importance of open dialogue within the industry and with policymakers to ensure fair competition and a level playing field for all market participants.
Horatio Evers, CEO of Ming Yang Europe, said:
“Offshore wind is a cornerstone of Europe’s energy transition. We are very pleased to join BWO and to engage more closely with the German offshore wind community. It is important that industry representatives speak with each other – not just about each other. We look forward to working with partners and policymakers to support the development of a strong offshore wind sector and a fair market environment with a level playing field for all participants.”
Stefan Thimm, Managing Director of BWO, added:
“I am very pleased to welcome Ming Yang Europe as a turbine manufacturer to the association. BWO represents the entire offshore wind value chain – from project development and operations to component manufacturers as well as service and infrastructure companies. In this way, BWO strengthens the energy and industrial policy dialogue across the market.
The offshore wind sector is facing a significant scale-up in order to meet the legally defined expansion targets. Our objective remains to strengthen Germany and Europe as industrial locations, ensuring that the expansion of offshore wind energy goes hand in hand with value creation and employment.”
