Ming Yang Europe joins ESTA

Ming Yang Europe is pleased to announce that we have joined the European Association of Abnormal Road Transport and Mobile Cranes (ESTA), which works closely with national associations, operators and manufacturers to improve safety standards, harmonise permitting regimes and address the practical challenges of moving ever-larger components across the continent's road networks.

Safe, efficient and well-coordinated logistics are a critical success factor for scaling wind energy in Europe. As turbines continue to grow in size and complexity, transport and installation capabilities become a decisive enabler for project success and overall system cost competitiveness. Components for next-generation turbines, from ever-larger blades to nacelles weighing several hundred tonnes, place growing demands on road infrastructure, permitting processes and specialist transport capacity across European markets. While major offshore components travel largely by sea, blades, nacelles and tower sections still depend on road networks to move between factories, ports and staging areas. ESTA provides a central platform where industry and policymakers work together to address exactly these challenges.

This membership represents another important milestone in our European market development and underlines our commitment to early and active engagement with key stakeholders across the full wind energy value chain. Through our engagement with ESTA, we will support improvements in transport planning, permitting and infrastructure readiness for next-generation wind projects, combining our manufacturing and installation learning curve from China with European standards and requirements.

As our European project pipeline develops, close collaboration on transport and installation will be central to delivering projects reliably and on schedule.

The announcement was marked during Breakbulk Europe in Rotterdam, one of the industry's leading events for project cargo and breakbulk logistics, together with ESTA Director Miguel Florez de la Colina and Peter Wolf.
