Ming Yang publishes 2025 Sustainability Report

Ming Yang Smart Energy has published its 2025 Sustainability Report, setting out progress across environmental, social, and governance performance as we advance our mission to innovate clean energy for all. Committed to building a sustainable future in partnership with customers, suppliers and communities, we continued to translate that commitment into tangible outcomes over the course of the year.

Scale and climate impact

At the start of 2026, our cumulative global installed new energy capacity had reached 131 GW across more than 22,000 onshore and offshore wind turbines delivered. Our operating fleet reduces carbon dioxide emissions by 170 million tonnes annually, generating environmental benefits equivalent to planting 9.7 billion trees each year.

On our own operations, we have set a target to achieve an average annual reduction of 1% in carbon emissions intensity by 2030, using 2024 as the base year, and have committed to achieving 100% clean energy substitution across our operations by 2035. In 2025, we officially joined the RE100 initiative, committing to 100% green power usage.

Strengthening international ESG commitments

In August 2025, we officially became a participant of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), marking international recognition of our sustainable development and social responsibility practices. We have committed to continuously improving our ESG management system and enhancing stakeholder trust under the UNGC framework.

Our sustainability leadership was recognised throughout the year. We were included in the Fortune China 500 and received the 2025 Responsible Whale and Bull Award as an Overseas ESG Pioneer, recognising our ESG performance in international markets. Further honours included the 2025 Green Design International Contribution Award, ESG Leading Enterprise Award from the World Green Design Organization, and selection among the 2025 People's Corporate Social Responsibility Cases.

People and responsible supply chains

Across our global workforce, we achieved 100% safety training coverage in 2025, with zero major safety accidents and zero occupational disease incidents recorded. Employee training coverage also reached 100%, with total training investment increasing year on year.

On supply chain governance, we upgraded our Supplier Sustainable Development Code of Conduct to Version 2.0, strengthening requirements across labour rights, health and safety, environmental protection and business ethics. We maintain a zero-tolerance approach to forced labour and child labour across our operations and supply chain, aligned with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and International Labour Organisation standards. In 2025, 100% of suppliers completed ESG audits and conflict minerals screening.
