Ming Yang is committed to building a sustainable future in partnership with customers, suppliers and communities. This commitment is guided by our international ESG framework and embedded in our governance and decision-making. Through world-leading wind technology, disciplined manufacturing and robust oversight, we support the global path to net zero while operating to internationally recognised environmental, social and governance standards.

Our ESG framework is designed to translate sustainability commitments into tangible outcomes by:

  • Supporting long-term value creation across our business and partnerships
  • Strengthening supply-chain resilience through responsible governance and standards
  • Building trusted partnerships as the energy transition accelerates

We set phased short, mid and long-term ESG objectives to guide progress, strengthen management systems and support continuous improvement. Progress against these objectives is tracked through external ratings, independent assurance and transparent public reporting.

Accelerating Europe’s path to net zero

Wind power is central to Europe’s decarbonisation strategy, and offshore wind in particular will play a critical role in delivering large volumes of affordable, low-carbon electricity.

Ming Yang designs and manufactures next-generation fixed and floating offshore wind turbines that enable faster deployment, higher energy yield and lower lifecycle emissions. Larger unit capacity reduces the number of turbines, foundations and vessels required per project, lowering both costs and environmental impact across the project lifecycle.

Our leadership in floating offshore wind unlocks deep-water sites that were previously inaccessible, expanding the geographical reach of clean power generation and supporting a more resilient, diversified energy system.

Environmental considerations are embedded across the lifecycle of our products – from design and materials selection through manufacturing, installation, operation and end-of-life considerations – helping developers deliver projects that are both cost-effective and environmentally sustainable. Quantified environmental performance data is disclosed through our annual ESG reporting.

People, safety and supply chains

People

Ming Yang prioritises health and safety across all operations, supported by clear policies, training programmes, accountability mechanisms and continuous improvement. We work to ensure safe working environments for employees and contractors, recognising that high safety standards are integral to operational excellence.

Alongside safety, we invest in skills and professional development to support innovation, quality and long-term capability. By fostering inclusive, respectful workplaces, we aim to build the expertise required to support the energy transition over the long term.

Responsible manufacturing and ethical supply chains

Ming Yang operates clear standards covering environmental protection, labour practices, human rights and business ethics across its global operations. These expectations extend throughout our operations and supply chain and are formalised through our Sustainability Development Code of Conduct and Supplier Sustainability Development Code of Conduct, which apply to employees, suppliers, contractors and partners.

Our approach is aligned with internationally recognised frameworks, including the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and International Labour Organisation standards. We maintain a zero-tolerance approach to forced labour, child labour, discrimination and unethical business practices, and work with partners to uphold high standards as we expand our presence in Europe.

Governance, transparency and accountability

Oversight of ESG matters sits at board level, supported by a dedicated management structure responsible for implementation, risk management and performance monitoring. This ensures sustainability considerations are integrated into strategic decision-making, operations and long-term planning.

We regularly assess ESG-related risks and opportunities and report transparently on our performance through published ESG and sustainability reports, supporting accountability and continuous improvement.
